Our client is a global pharmaceutical company that provides solutions addressing the evolving needs of patients worldwide. The Vaccines division in the UK provided a range of travel vaccines, influenza vaccines and other immunisation products to the UK market.
Lingo’s work with this client goes back to the our foundation in 2008 when we were engaged to conduct a market research study to provide market insight into travel vaccine usage amongst travel clinics and GP surgeries.
After the market research project, Lingo worked on the launch of a specialist travel vaccine for Japanese Encephalitis which involved the Lingo team undertaking training in all aspects of travel vaccines.
In 2009, Lingo was engaged by the client to act as an outsourced Vaccines Telesales Team providing a new thrust into its seasonal flu vaccine sales. Lingo provided both outbound and inbound telemarketing and fulfilled all aspects of customer liaison with GP surgeries, private clinics, NHS hospitals and pharmacies together with order processing, working with the client’s customer services team and also with their national sales team. The Lingo team comprised a team leader, up to eight telemarketers and dedicated admin resource. This team received extensive training in the flu market, the competition, the principles of vaccines and how they work, the IBPA regulatory environment, and Pharmacovigilance. This operation ran for five years until our client divested their vaccines division to GSK and CSL as part of a global restructure.
Lingo was retained further to work on the launch of a new meningitis vaccine. As part of this, members of Lingo attended a week long training course alongside the client’s own sales team.
